BREATHING SQUATS! Get ready to read about the single greatest exercise for improved size and strength ever discovered!
I have to tell you... when I discoverd this movement I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. I was so anxious to get to the gym to try this exercise out and really find out if the claims I had read were true. I can tell you from my own experience... the claims were true!
I heard the breathing squat would pack on unbelievable size and increase strength in a short amount of time... true!
I heard it would make your entire body grow not only your legs... true!
I also heard it would be the most brutal and intense work I had ever experienced... most definitely true!
So what are breathing squats?
Well... let me tell you how I heard about this awesome exercise.
I had continued to lift for size and strength after college and I would read anything I could get my hands on as long as it talked about stregth training and gaining size. So, one day I read about a book called "Super Squats."
I'm telling you what... it is a powerful book... simple concepts yet very effective.
So I began to implement these "breathing squats" into my own workouts.
One day I was working out in my schools weight room and at the time I was coaching football. This was after practice one day, and I had been working on these squats for awhile. Anyway... one of the other coaches, who had played college football and was a pretty big ole' boy himself, asked me what kind of exercises I did to get so strong. I told him, "Well... I do breathing squats and a few other compound movements!"
He had never heard of breathing squats so I proceeded to explain to him what I was talking about. I told him, " You see... first,you pick a weight you usually do about ten reps... take 3 deep breaths and then squat. Now the real fun is you don't stop at 10 reps... you do 20! The next workout you add 10 pounds to the bar!"
He turned to me and said "How the hell am I going to do 20 reps when I can only do 10 reps right now with that weight?" I had to explain to him that he was going to have to tap into his mental power and as NIKE would say, "Just Do it!"
So he agreed to try them. Now before we started I did tell him sometimes... because these were so intense... I would vomit or pass out because of the intensity of the exercise.
He said, "Pass out... what the hell! I'm not really ready to work that hard!"
Well, I decided to take it easy on him the first go around so he started with 225 pounds. Now I have to give my buddy some credit... he didn't quit and he got all 20 reps. Now ... when he was finished he fell to the floor and almost got sick but that's another story.
He actually told me when he was driving home that night he could barely push in his clutch to change gears in his car. Now that's what I call xtreme strength training.
Anyway, this one exercise has transformed more weak and flabby bodies than any other single exercise. This exercise will put on solid mass to your frame and will make you feel empowered to tackle any obstacle in your day. After you embrace this exercise you will see some tremendous results.
